    MIPI to Present SerDes Solutions at Upcoming Automotive Conferences

    MIPI Alliance will be bringing technical details on the new MIPI A-PHY℠ and MIPI Automotive SerDes Solutions (MASS℠) to two automotive conferences in the coming weeks. The presentations, at the Automotive SerDes Conference and AutoSens Detroit Edition, will offer virtual audiences the opportunity to learn more about MIPI's long-reach asymmetric, serializer-deserializer (SerDes) physical layer interface and how it serves as the cornerstone for end-to-end automotive system solutions. 

     
    Automotive SerDes Conference

    The Automotive SerDes Conference, on 13-14 October, focuses on the current and upcoming market situation within the entire SerDes environment. MIPI will present a session each day – the first will be during the "Technologies" block, which is the second session on the 13 October agenda, and the second presentation will lead off day two of the conference in the "Eco System" block. MIPI will also offer a 10-minute presentation during the first break on 13 October and Q&A during the scheduled breaks.

    Eyran-LidaConsiderations in Developing a Resilient Asymmetric Data Transport for the Vehicle Lifespan

    Eyran Lida, CTO and co-founder of Valens Semiconductor, will explore key considerations addressed in the development of MIPI A-PHY, its use of a unique retransmission system (RTS) mechanism to ensure error-free links, and the extensive cable and EMC testing performed to ultimately achieve the goal of developing a highly resilient interface with both an ultra-low packet error rate and ultra-high immunity to EMI effects over a vehicle's lifetime.

    Ariel Lasry, MIPI board member and chief engineer at Toshiba Electronics Europe, will present an overview of the MIPI end-to-end system, describe how this standardized approach will benefit the automotive ecosystem and outline how MIPI is addressing automotive design and integration complexity, and functional safety and security requirements.

     
    AutoSens Detroit Edition

    AutoSens connects engineers from several disciplines in a collaborative environment for discussions, collaborations, interactive learning, demonstrations and a technology showcase. The AutoSens Detroit Edition will be held 17-19 November.
